Kolbe Wood Doors

· 1-3/4" thick doors; constructed of unfinished vertical-grain Douglas fir or knotty alder (additional custom species may also be available)
· 5-1/2" wide stiles, 4-1/2" wide top rails, 7-1/2" wide cross rails, and a 9-1/8" wide bottom rail on all door heights
· Joints between stiles and rails are fastened with splined hardwood dowels and high-grade, exterior-rated waterproof glue
· Ovolo sticking or optional Mission/square sticking
· Panels of doors are 1-1/4" thick and are either "raised" or "flat"
· Tempered, 5/8" LoE2 insulating glass filled with argon gas*
· Interior wood glazing beads
· Performance divided lite (PDL) with 1-1/8" bars; PDL bars are wood to both the exterior and interior
· All exterior wood parts are preservative-treated

· LoEz Sun-145 with or without argon gas*
· Pattern-, bronze-, or gray-lite
· Finely crafted glass (not available with argon gas)
· Laminated glass
· Other glass options common to the industry

· Mantel detailing
· Wire brushing for "distressed" appearance
· Sidelites with 2-5/8" wide stiles and rails to match doors Transoms to match doors and sidelites

· Wood frame (constructed of western pine as standard; alder* or fir frames are available as an option) with 1-15/16" exterior brickmould applied
· Extruded clad frame with integral accessory groove (for easy addition of accessories) and a heavy vinyl nailing fin applied
· Available as single or 2-wide doors, and with inswing or outswing operation (ask your Kolbe dealer about available sizes)
· Accessory trim pieces (available in either wood or extruded aluminum), including 3-1/2" profiled brickmould, 3-1/2" brickmould with backhand, 3-1/2" flat casing - plus others
· Standard jamb width is 4-9/16"; other jamb widths available
· Frames are fully weatherstripped for a tight seal
· Bronze-anodized aluminum, self-draining exterior sill with an oak threshold for inswing doors
· Bronze-anodized aluminum bumper sill for outswing doors
· Oak bumper sills for outswing doors
· Oak and mahogany sills
· Galvanized steel installation clips
*Note: An alder frame will be void of knots.
